About Joanne Kerzmann-Troppello
In 1996, Joanne Kerzmann-Troppello published her first book, My S.E.D. Label (ISBN 0-89754-132-4), a breakthrough novella about a severely emotionally disturbed young man. Beginning as a short story, the work was expanded into a novella due to encouragement from her creative writing professor at East Stroudsburg University, and the novella was published in the same year she earned her B.A. in English at ESU.
In 2004, Kerzmann-Troppello published her second book, Shadowed Remembrances (ISBN 1-4137-1904X), a murder mystery featuring Manhattan crime scene investigator Torianna Silverman, a woman of faith who returns to her small, Pennsylvania hometown to make amends with her past. During her visit, Detective Silverman not only comes face-to-face with her fears, but she also encounters God in a special way as she both rekindles a romance with County Coroner Nick Keyes and assists him in solving a local murder.
Mr. Shipley's Governess (ISBN __), Kerzmann-Troppello's third novel, will be released in the near future from By Grace Publishing. This latest novel is the story of Sophie Baird, a young woman who finds herself at a crossroads in life after the sudden death of her parents, and the breaking by Sophie's fiancé of their engagement. Embittered by the harsh circumstances engulfing her, Sophie endeavors to move forward with her life by accepting a position as governess to Anastasia Shipley, the young, ailing daughter of Sebastian Shipley. In her new position, Sophie faces both her past and her future.
A prolific author, Kerzmann-Troppello has always loved to write. Having published numerous short stories and poems before her debut as a novelist, she is well skilled at her craft, and she enjoys freely sharing her knowledge with beginning writers by way of local presentations and workshops.
